We are pleased to announce the launch of our Community Wellness Challenge Series which is a sequence of family oriented events featuring running, walking, and youth activities intended to motivate our community to stay or become more active.  The Community Wellness Challenge Series will consist of seven high profile and energizing events listed below.

 

 

Ken Brumbaugh Spirit Run

In memory of Ken Brumbaugh, the Run is a celebration of his life, his spirit, and the community he loved.  Hailed as the "first race of the season," runners love the course, spectators love the scenery, and everyone embraces the heart and soul of the event.

Altoona Curve - YMCA Home Run

Our newest race certain to be a home run!  Participants will start from the Curve outfield and continue on a closed course, then lead them back to the ball field during the game.

July 4th Race

Hailed as the "longest running race in the region," the race begins and ends at the Altoona Transit Center, winding its way through the city of Altoona.  A celebratory atmosphere keeps runners and spectators coming back each year.

Canoe Creek Triathlon

An autumn spectacular event preceding the Olde Tyme Faire and Train Adventures, this run has a down-home historic flair.

Turkey Trot
