"Super Sitter" Baby-Sitting Workshop

Youth Job Service

This class is intended to prepare first time baby-sitters or to increase the quality of service of an experienced sister.  Safety, responsibility and emergency procedures are the focal point in this outstanding course.  Successful participants of this workshop will receive a certificate.  Program offered at the YMCA Children's Center.

Instructor:  Kathy Imler.

The Hollidaysburg Area YMCA’s Youth Job Service provides a reliable, low cost work force to Hollidaysburg and surrounding Blair County communities. Youth between the ages of 13 and 16 are trained in various jobs ranging from child, lawn, car, & pet care to housekeeping, painting, and light duty maintenance.  The YMCA then provides an opportunity for those young workers to be placed in work assignments throughout Blair County. Workers are supervised and customer satisfaction is guaranteed. Interested youth workers must complete an employment application, a worker questionnaire, and a worker agreement prior to entry into the program. Workers must then attend an orientation session, complete a successful interview, and attend training sessions before entering the Youth Job Service work force. Customers with work to be done can complete a work request form. All forms and applications are available at the YMCA and YCC front desk.
